Biography

Dr. Bayan Aref Mohammad Abu Shawar is currently working as Associate Professor and Head of IT Department in IT Department at Arab Open University in Jordan. She has completed her PhD degree from University of Leeds, England. Previously she was appointed as Teaching Assistant in Computer Department, University of Petra, and Lecturer in Computer Department at University of Jordan, and Associate Lecturer, Assistant Professor in the Open University (UK). She has completed 2 research projects. She has 52 publications in journals contributed as author/co-author. Her main area of interest focuses on Natural language processing, Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, Information retrieval, Question Answering Systems, and E-Learning, LMS, CMS, and M-Learning.
