Biography

Dr. Ahmad H. Bani Younes holds a position of Assistant Professor at Aerospace Engineering Khalifa University for Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), Abu Dhabi, UAE, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University, College Station, Tx, USA. He has obtained his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A & M University, College Station, TX. Previously he was appointed as Research & Teaching Assistant at University of Dayton, Dayton, Oh, USA and Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, College Station, Tx. USA. His main area of research interest focuses on Optimization, Estimation and Control Applications in Dynamical Systems, Guidance, Navigation and Astronautics, Space Robotics and Computational Vision, Trajectory Propagation and Uncertainty and Algorithms Development. Currently he is serving as co-advisor for 3 PhD students thesis. He has published 3 books, 12 research articles in journals as well as 53 conference proceeding contributed as author/co-author. He has completed 13 research projects and currently working on 4 research projects. He is member of editorial board in International Journal of Applied & Experimental Mathematics and International Journal of Mechanical Systems Engineering and reviewer for several international journals. He is founder of the Spacecraft Platform for Astronautic & Celestial Emulation (SPACE) laboratory at Khalifa University, which aims to be a nationally unique 6-DOF facility.
