Biography

Dr. Abrar Inayat, Senior lecturer of Chemical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia, obtained his PhD in Chemical Engineering at UTP with major in renewable energy and did his masters from Malardalen University (MDH), Sweden with major in sustainable energy systems. His research areas are process system engineering, process integration, sustainable energy systems, cogeneration, biomass and biofuels. He has over 50 publications and many honors, including Best Researcher of the University Award, Gold Medal in ITEX 2012, Gold Medal in INNOVA 2011 and Gold Medal in Geneva Inventions 2011. His process system engineering research involves modelling, simulation and optimization on the conversion of biomass to biofuels (solids, liquids and gases).
