Biography

Dr. Khurram Bashir obtained his Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology from The University of Tokyo, Japan, and M.Phil in Agricultural Biotechnology from University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Previously he was working as Research Associate, and JSPS Foreign Special Researcher at The University of Tokyo, Japan, and Research Associate at Punjab University, Lahore. Dr. Khurram received honors includes Young Scientist Award by Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition 2013, RIKEN foreign Postdoctoral Fellowship, Travel grant for Young scientists by Japanese Society of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Secured 2nd position in B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture (Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, University of Agriculture Faisalabad, Pakistan). He is also serving as reviewer for many journals. He is Associate Editor for Frontier’s Research Topic Cellular Fe homeostasis and metabolism in Plants Review Editor for Frontiers in Plant Biotechnology. He also presented 29 presentations in national and international conferences. He has published 64 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
