Biography

Rafia Azmat., Ph.D Professor at Department of Chemistry University of Karachi. has over 100 scientific papers and projects either presented or published, supervised 7 Ph.Ds,3 MS, co-supervised 3 Ph.Ds, 3 Chapters, and 3 books. She is an internationally recognized expert in many areas of advanced Chemical fields including Biophysical Chemistry, Redox reactions of dyes, Environmental studies on metal impact on edible plants and most important research on VAM services in CO2 reduction fom atmosphere. She is a regularly sought after and requested lecturer at the majority of International Conferences. Dr. Azmat is the Editor-in-Chief of the Pakistan Journal of Chemistry. Recent publications include a paper on the VAM utilization on plants of green belt of Karachi City and get best results. Dr Azmat is the member of various chemical Societies, including American Chemical Society. Dr.Azmat is HEC recognized Ph.D supervisor and Awarded by PCST Pakistan from 2011 - 2015. She is currently engaged on HEC funded project on management of dye waste water and try to develop a new lab for work in Biophysical chemistry, funded through Public Private Partnership.
