Biography

Dr. Attaullah Shah is currently working as Professor of Civil Engineering and Vice Chancellor City University of Science and IT Peshawar Pakistan. He has completed his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. He is visiting faculty member of Centre of Advanced Studies in Engineering (CASE), SZABIST and NUST besides resource person for PEC CPD courses and HEC. He is having 25 year experience of Senior/executive level relating to academic planning & development, teaching & research and administration & leadership in University and public sector organizations. He started his career as Junior Structural Engineer at NESPAK and later joined Communication and Works Department KPK for ten years, and Director, Executive Engineer and Senior Faculty member Allama Iqbal Open University-Islamabad-Pakistan. He is also serving as member of academic planning and course review committees and involved in the academic administration at AIOU and other institutions. He has published 3 books, 73 research articles in journals and conferences contributed as author/co-author. Dr. Attaullah received honors includes awarded WAPDA Gold Medal for grabbing 2nd position in Civil Engineering at UET, awarded University Gold Medal for 1st position in PGD computer Sciences at AIOU, awarded Best Engineer Award-2008 by Institute of Engineers Islamabad, got honoraria and award for developing Environmental Social and Management Plan for World Bank Assisted projects at HEC Pakistan and got Best employee award for the year 2012. He is member of Asian Council of Science Editors, life member of Pakistan Engineering Council/Registered Consulting Engineer, and member of organizing committee International Conference on Construction in Developing Countries (ICCIDC-II) held at Cairo Egypt, Co-Chair and Member organizing Committee International Conference on Construction in Developing Countries (ICCIDC-III), Committee International Conference on Earthquake Engineering and Seismology, and Co-Chair International 7th Conference on Construction in Twenty First Century. He also visited number of foreign countries for academic pursuits.
