Biography

Dr. C. S. Chidan Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor (senior grade) at Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology, Moodbidri, Karnataka, India. He obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from University of Mysore, Mysore in the year 2011, M.Phil in Chemistry in 2008 from Periyar University, Salem. In past he worked as Lecturer in Chemistry at Bharathi College, Bharathinagar (K.M.Doddi) in 2006, served as HOD of Chemistry during 2010-2011, in the same year also worked as Lecturer in Engineering Chemistry at G. Madegowda Institute of Technology (K.M.Doddi), later worked as Assistant Professor at Alva’s Institute of Engineering & Technology Moodbidri during August 2012 to January 2013, then worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow under the supervision of legendary crystallographer Emeritus Prof. Dr. Hoong-Kun Fun at University of Science, Malaysia during 2013-2015. He has published more than 200 research articles in various national and international journals. He is life member of Indian Crystallographic Association, Indian Council of Chemists, Senior Member of Asia-Pacific Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering Society, Affiliate Member of IUPAC. He supervised 2 M.Phil and 2 MSc students. Dr. C. S. Chidan Kumar has received number on honors include holding NCC ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificates, represented Karnataka & Goa in Republic Day Camp, Certificate of Appreciation” from Mandya district administration for the outstanding achievement in NCC, Best paper award, Early Career Travel Grant Award, Postdoctoral research fellowship.
