Biography

Dr. Suresh Sharma received Doctor of Philosophy in the area of Life Sciences (Enzymology) from University of Mumbai India. He was a CSIR-Post Doctoral Fellow at the Tata Memorial Cancer Rsearch Institute (CRI), Mumbai, India where he worked on viral vectors/delivery systems combined with drug analogues to find cure for head and neck cancers. Dr. Sharma is currently working as a Research Associate (faculty level) at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, USA on various aspects of positive strand RNA viruses. He has several invited reviews and excellent research papers published in peer-reviewed, high impact journals. Dr. Sharma`s research interest includes biochemical study of HCV NS5A protein; RNA binding properties of NS5A as a target for drug design; cell culture studies with HCV-sub-genomic replicons with an aim of discovering novel viral-host targets for drug design.
