Biography

Dr. Satheesh George is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Botany, St. Josephs College, Devagiri Calicut, Kerala, India. He has obtained his Ph.D. in Life Science from Kannur University, Kerala, India. Previously he was appointed as Junior Research Fellow at Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Medicinal Plants Research (CMPR), Scientist and Senior Scientist and Head at Centre for Medicinal Plants Research (CMPR), Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakkal, Malappuram, Kerala, India. Dr. Satheesh received honors include Dr. S.R. Yadav Award for the Best poster, University Merit Scholarship for the year, Best poster award (LIFE SCIENCE) for the research paper, and Dr. S.R. Yadav Award for the Best poster. He has completed 8 research projects as principal investigator and co-investigator. He is member of editorial board and reviewer for journals such as Research Journal of Botany, Research Journal of Forestry, Research Journal of Medicinal Plant, Trends in Molecular Sciences, Biotechnology, and International Journal of Plant Breeding and Genetics. He is life member of Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy, and Gregor Mendel Foundation. He has published 3 chapters in book, 62 research articles in journals contributed as author/co-author.
