Biography

Dr. Mrinal Kaushik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, India. He has earned his PhD, M.Tech and B.Tech degrees in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Kanpur, India. He works in the domain of experimental Supersonic Aerodynamics with special focus on Shock-Boundary Layer Interactions, Jet Controls, Aeroacoustics and Hydrodynamics. Previously he was appointed as Software Engineer at TCS Lucknow, Research Associate at University of Alberta Edmonton, Research Scientist at VSSC – ISRO Trivandrum, Engineer CAE at GM – TCI Bangalore, and Project Manager at HyTech Professionals Noida, and Assistant Professor (Visiting) in Aerospace Engineering, DIAT Pune. Dr. Mrinal received honors includes Young Researcher Award by VIFA, Chennai, India, Cash award for publication in the international journal by IIT Kanpur and Four times invited paper setter for TSPGECET. Currently he is working on 4 research projects as principal investigator and co-investigator. His area of research interest focuses on Shock-Boundary Layer Interaction, Jet Controls, Aeroacoustics, and Hydrodynamics. Dr. Mrinal has published 14 research articles in journals as well as 9 conference proceeding and 1 book contributed as author/co-author. He is life member of Indian Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics. Dr. Mrinal is also serving as guest editor for American Journal of Fluid Dynamics and reviewer for Cogent Physics, Taylor & Francis (UK), Iranian Journal of Science & Technology, Transactions of Mechanical Engineering, Universal Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Journal of the Institution of Engineers (INDIA).
