Biography

Dr. K. Kathiravan is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Biotechnology, University of Madras, India. He earned his PhD in Biotechnology in Department of Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, India and Post Doctorate from the Volcani Center, Agriculture Research Organization, Bet-Dagan, Israel. Previously he was appointed as Research Associate at Department of Biotechnology, Bharathidasan University, Scientist at Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, Chennai, and Lecturer at Department of Biotechnology, Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirapalli. Dr. Kathiravan received honors includes Junior Research Fellowship awarded by World Bank Sponsored Central Silk Board Project at Bharathidasan University, Trichy, Research Associate awarded by CSIR, Young Scientist Project Awarded, SERC Visiting fellowship Awarded by Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi, DBT NICHE Overseas Fellowship Visiting fellowship awarded. He has completed 5 research projects. He has published 44 research articles in journals, 3 abstracts in journals, 9 articles in books and 22 Genbank Submission contributed as author/co-author. He also presented number of papers in conferences. He is member of Animal Ethical Committee Member-Institutional Animal Ethical Committee (IAEC), University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Chennai, Biosafety Committee Member in Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC), Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College, and Bio-Safety committee member in Vanta Biosciences, Gummidipundi, Tamil Nadu, India.
