Biography

Dr. Chitrakara Hegde holds a position of Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry Alliance University Chikkahagade Cross Chandapura-Anekal Main Road, Bangalore. Dr. Chitrakara Hegde is well known internationally for his outstanding research in Chemical Science and Engineering. In particular, he has made important contributions to the analysis and design of energy efficient water purification and desalination reactors. He has published 14 research articles in scholarly journals of international repute. Dr. Hegde acquired Ph.D. from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal and holds a postgraduate degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. He has over 18 years of teaching and research experience. Previously he was appointed as Guest Lecturer at Department of Chemistry, Mangalore University, Mangalore, Assistant Professor and Head at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bangalore, and NSS officer at NMIT, Bangalore. He selected for prestigious National Science Academy’s Summer Research Fellowship in the year 2013, Vision Group Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka conferred Centre for Excellence award for his research project. As a Co-Investigator he successfully Guided VTU funded research project. He is life time member of ISTE, New Delhi and member of Royal Society of Chemistry. He also attended number of conferences, seminars and workshops and performed presentations.
