Dr. Derya Sevim Korkut holds a position of Associate Professor at Duzce University, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Forest Industrial Engineeering, Duzce-Turkey. She has obtained her Ph.D. in Total Productive Maintenance from Istanbul University, Istanbul, Turkey. Her area of expertise includes total productive maintenance, 5S activities, maintenance management, preventive maintenance planning, questionnaire, wood processing machinery, development and design of wood products, furniture and wood products production, plant layout and optimization, management organization, production/operations management, and the overall economic analysis of the wood products industry, surface roughness/morphology, pigments, coatings, adhesives, varnishes, surface properties of wood, weathering and finishing properties of wood, use of computer-aided drafting and computer aided machining as used in wood products processing, and designing for maintenance management. She has 52 publications in journals contributed as author/co-author.
