Biography

Dr. Umit Buyuksari is currently working as Associate Professor at Duzce University, Forestry Faculty. He has completed his PhD in Wood Mechanics and Technology from Forest Industry Engineering, Istanbul University. Previously he was appointed as Graduate Research Assistant at Abant Izzet Baysal University, Graduate Research Assistant at Istanbul University, and Assistant Professor at Duzce University. His research areas diverse and include determine physical and mechanical properties of wood and wood based panels, non-destructive evaluation of wood, bending of solid and laminated wood, wood modification by heat treatments and their effect on mechanical properties of wood. Dr. Umit has published 27 research articles in international journals and 4 articles in national journals, and 10 papers in conferences contributed as author/co-author. He has completed 4 research projects as researcher and project leader. He also attended number of scientific meeting.
