Dr. Chi-Ming Lai has received his Bachelor and Master degree of Mechanical Engineering at National Cheng-Kung University in Taiwan, and PhD of Architecture at the same School. While a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in United States, he worked on Indoor Environment Quality. His research activities cover a wide spectrum of topics in the architectural design, building sciences and Building Energy. Current research topics include Green Building Design, applications of re- newable energy, phase change material and fire science. Currently he is working as Professor at Department of Civil Engineering, and Founding Director of the Energy and Green Building Technology Laboratory at National Cheng-Kung University. He is also serving as Associate Editor in Elementa, Science of the Anthropocene, Elementa Science, USA and Materials for Renewable and Sustainable Energy, Springer, member for editor board in Energies (SCI), MDPI AG, Switzerland, and Building and Environment (SCI), Elsevier and committee member of Government Procurement Evaluation Committee, Public Construction Commission, Executive Yuan of Taiwan, and Construction Quality Evaluation Committee, Public Construction Commission, Executive Yuan of Taiwan. Dr. Chi-Ming Lai has received honors includes Outstanding Young Researchers Award, National Science Council, Taiwan, Nominated for ENI Award 2013, and Marquis Whos who in the World. He has completed number of research projects sponsored by National Science Council of Taiwan, ROC, and Ministry of Science and Technology of Taiwan, ROC. He has published 68 research articles in journals as well as 55 refereed conference proceeding contributed as author/co-author.
