Biography

Dr. Md. Abdus Salam is currently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine-Jeddah King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology from University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Previously he was appointed as Lecturer/Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Rajshahi Medical College, Bangladesh. He also participated in number of workshops. He is fellow of Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh (FRCPE), United Kingdom, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow (FRCPG), United Kingdom, member of American Society for Microbiology (ASM), USA, Society for Applied Microbiology (SfAM), UK, International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), USA, and life member of Bangladesh Society of Medical Microbiologist. He is supervisor in four (04) and Co supervisor in three (03) M. Phil (Microbiology) thesis. He has published 2 book/thesis, 11 research papers, 2 review articles, and 12 case reports contributed as author/co-author. His main area of interest focuses on Visceral Leishmaniasis (Innovative diagnostics), MDR Bacteria.
