Biography

Dr. Zaheer-Ud-Din Babar is currently working as Senior Lecturer and Head of Pharmacy Practice, School of Pharmacy, University of Auckland, New Zealand. He obtained his PhD in Pharmacy University Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia in 2006. Dr. Zaheer received number of honors includes, Second Prize for Population Health Category (summer studentship April 2013, University of Auckland, New Zealand), Vice Chancellors Research Excellence Award, and Sanggar Sanjung Award by University Sains Malaysia. His professional experience include Production Pharmacist at P.D.H. Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Ltd, Lahore Pakistan, Staff Pharmacist at Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan, Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at University College Sedaya International (UCSI) Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Lecturer at University Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia, Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Examination Director at University of Auckland, New Zealand. He also worked as Visiting Researcher, Department of Population Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Harvard University, Boston MA. He also supervised number of post graduate and undergraduate students. He is serving as Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Pharmaceutical Policy and Practice. He has published (79) articles in journals, (1) book and (5) chapters in books, (12) papers in journals supplements, (31) papers in conferences as author/co-author. He has also received number of grants for his research work. He is professional member of different organizations such as Associate Member of Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research, Associate Member of Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society, International Health Economics Association (IHEA), European Society of Clinical Pharmacy, World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), Associate Member Health Action International Asia Pacific. He attended meeting as Resource Person. He also delivered several invited lectures in different universities. He is also serving as reviewer in number of peer review journals. He also participated in number of conferences and seminars.
