Biography

Dr. Annabelle U. Novero is currently working as Associate Professor in Department of Biology Science and Environmental Studies at College of Science And Mathematics, University of The Philippines, Mindanao, Philippines. He completed his PhD from University of Melbourne, Australia. He is professional member of Philippine Association of Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology, Philippine Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Philippine Society of Microbiology. His experiences includes, worked as Chairperson at Department of Biological Sciences and Environmental Studies; 2011-2013, Program Coordinator at UP Mindanao/DOST Sago Palm Biotech Program, Assistant to Associate Professor and University Researcher at College of Science and Mathematics, Davao City, Philippine and Senior Research Assistant at Tissue Culture Laboratory, Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biochemistry Division, International Rice Research Institute Los Banos, Philippines. Dr. Annabelle U has received honors include U.P. Scientist, Chancellors Award, Most Outstanding Faculty Member. He published 9 articles in peer-reviewed journals as author/co-author. He has completed research projects on several topics, DNA methylation profile of sago palm in relation to armature, Callus induction and plant regeneration from sago palm shoot explants, Micro propagation of sago palm. Currently, he is working on 7 projects.
