Biography

Hasmiwati is a lecturer in Medical Faculty, Andalas University, Padang. Dr. Hasmiwati has several scientific papers and projects either presented or published. She is recognized as an expert in tropical disease, especially in Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever which caused by Aedes aegypti, and works in molecular and genetic field. She gives a lecture regularly at the helminthology, protozoology, and medical entomology classes. Dr. Hasmiwati has focused her study in DHF vector, Ae.agypti in West Sumatra. She investigated the genetic variability, the polymorphism, insecticides resistance gene of DHF vector, microsatellite DNA analysis, and many projects which supporting the prevention and the spreading of DHF vector in West Sumatra.
