Biography

Dr. Risby Mohd Sohaimi is currently working as Deputy Dean (Research, Development and Postgraduate Studies) at Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, Malaysia. He has completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Malaysia. Previously he was appointed as Research Assistant at Institute of Advanced Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Research Officer at Mechanization & Automation Research Center, Malaysian Agricultural Research Institute (MARDI), Lecturer/Senior Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering, UPNM. He supervised 4 PhD students, 15 undergraduate students and 19 MSc students thesis. He has lead 19 research projects and completed more than 9 research projects principal investigator and member of project team. He has published 5 book and book chapters, 13 research articles in national and international journals, and 13 conference proceedings contributed as author/co-author. Dr. Risby received honors includes Bronze Medal Development of Blast Resistance Concrete Panel, Awards (Silver Medal) Development of Blast Resistance Concrete Panel PECIPTA. He is serving as reviewer for number of journals and conferences.
