Biography

Dr. Mohammed J K Bashir is holds a position of Head of Department and Assistant Professor at Environmental Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering and Green Technology (FEGT), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Perak, Malaysia. He earned his PhD from Environmental Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2011. Previously he was appointed as Under Training Engineers at Infrastructure projects at Deir EL- Balah Municipality, Gaza, Palestine, Site Engineers at Infrastructure projects at Dawas Company, Gaza, Palestine, Supervisor Engineers at Deir EL-Balah Municipality, Gaza, Palestine, Research Assistant, Research Fellow & Tutor at School of Civil Engineering, University Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. His main area of research interest focuses on Environmental Engineering, Water & Wastewater Treatment, Advanced Oxidation, Technologies, Adsorption, Technology and Activated Carbon, and Solid waste Management. He has completed 6 research projects as main researcher or co-researcher. Dr. Bashir received honors include Silver Medal by International exhibition of Research & Inventions of Institutions of Higher Learning 2009, Bronze Medal from Malaysia Technology Expo, MTE, 2011, University Publication Award and many others. He has published 12 book and book chapters, 54 research papers in international refereed journals and 24 conference proceeding contributed as author/co-author. He successfully supervised 4 PhD, 6 Masters, and 19 undergraduate students. He is also serving as Scientific Assessor for number of academic journals.
