Biography

Dr. Silvano Mignardi is currently working as Researcher in Department of Earth Sciences, University La Sapienza, Rome. He obtained his PhD in Earth Science from same university in 1992. In past he worked as Visiting Scientist at Panasqueira and Vale das Gatas mines (Portugal), Post Doctor at University La Sapienza Rome, Visiting Scientist at University El-Jadida (Morocco), CNR Researcher by contract at Geosciences and Georesources, and Visiting Scientist at Gonçalo, Viseu and Guarda region (Portugal) and Anti Atlas region (Morocco). He is tutor or co-tutor of 18 degree theses and supervisor of undergraduate training. He is member of Earth and Environmental Science Panel, Lehman College, City University of New York. He is reviewer for many scientific journals such as Journal of Hazardous Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, Environment International, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Desalination, Separation Science and Technology, Journal of Environmental Management, Environmental Pollution, Environmental Engineering Science, The Canadian Mineralogist. He has published 20 research papers in journals, and 2 chapters in book contributed as author/co-author.
