Biography

Dr. Taye Kufa is currently working at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Coffee Systems Agronomist/Specialist. Before he joins IITA, he worked as a lead researcher at the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research where he served as a director of the Jimma Agricultural Research Center, and leader of national coffee, tea & spices research program. He participated and shared his rich experience at various national and international events. He was a founding member, first president of the Ethiopian Coffee Science Society, and active member of other professional societies. He has several publications in journals, proceedings, books, manuals as first and co-author. He taught courses and supervised post-graduate students (PhD & MSc) in Ethiopia and Burundi.
