Biography

Dr. Negmeldin Alsheikh is currently working as Associate Professor at UAE University, Alain, UAE. He has obtained D.Ed, Doctor of Education in Language/Literacy Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Previously he was appointed as Teacher at International Institute, Khartoum, Sudan, Research/Editorial Assistant at Oklahoma State University Stillwater, OK, and Assistant Professor at SUNY Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, NY. He is also serving as member of editorial board and reviewer for number of journals such as International Journal for Research in Education, Journal of Literature, Language & Culture, and International Journal for Research in Education, International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, Current Issues in education, Foreign Language Annals, Journal of Language Teaching and Research, and International Journal of Education Research. He is professional member of International Reading Association, American Educational Research Association, National Council of Teachers of English, Whole Language Umbrella, African Studies Association, TESOL Arabia and Organization of Sudanese Academics for Research and Development (OSARD). He is Chairing and Supervising 4 PhD Students and 18 Masters Students. Dr. Negmeldin has published 2 books, 13 research articles in journals, and 3 book chapters contributed as author/co-author. He also completed 12 research grants. Additionally, he gave several presentations in various international and regional conferences on reading and language learning.
