Biography

Dr. Hany Hussein Abdel Ghafar Hemida is affliated with National Research Centre as Associate Professor at Water Pollution Research Department, and Associate Professor at Faculty of Science and Arts, Khulais, Chemistry Department, King Abdelaziz University, Saudia Arabia. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry & Material science, Faculty of Engineering, Oita University, Japan. His area of research interests is to Study the residue profile of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) in the environment especially in water and wastewater, particularly: Organochlorine Pesticides (OCPs), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), petroleum hydrocarbons and studying the environmental fate of such organic pollutants with prospects to remediate such pollutants from water and wastewater, preparation and characterization of visible light active photocatalyst for water treatment. He currently focuses on the preparation of low cost adsorbents activated carbons, zeolites, modified clay minerals, biosorbents for the removal of heavy metals, dyes and organic micropollutants from water resources. He published numerous articles in journals cited in Scopus and ISI index.
