Biography

Dr. Hatem Mohamed Ali Abd El-Ghany is currently working as Professor Doctor, Field Crops Research Department, NRC. He completed his Ph.D. of Agriculture Sciences (Agronomy) titled “Studies on embryo culture in wheat and association with yield and its components”, Faculty of Agriculture, Minufyia University, Egypt in 2003. His prior working experience includes Research Assistant, Associate Researcher, Researcher, and the Research Associate Professor, Field Crops Research Department, NRC. His duties includes Field experiments in progress of Pollination, selection and evaluation new crop genotypes and varieties and their elements nutrition and chemical content for quality traits as well as hybrids production. Design and statistical analysis of scientific experiments. Data analysis, preparing and writing technical and scientific papers and reports. Good users of computer to serve our research, communications and computerized statistical analysis programs. Developing the new genotypes and produce high-yielding varieties and hybrids, breed for tolerance, salinity, water scarcity and drought for new land and rainfed conditions.Using tissue culture technique to offer several advantages for field crops improvement, particularly in respect of water stress tolerance. His area of interest is in the fundamental and advanced of crop science, crop breeding, crop morphology, crop physiology and environment, land reclamation, agricultural irrigation and water management, use of organic waste and bio-fertilizer in agriculture. He attended the number of symposium & meetings, workshop and conferences. He is also the member of Agricultural Syndicate, Cairo, Egypt, Egyptian society of plant breeding, Egypt, Junior Scientists Association, Egypt. He has published 20 research papers and also completed the number of research and national projects. He wrote scientific book entitled as Wheat improvement, Immature embryo culture and drought tolerance. Dr. Hatem Mohamed Ali Abd El-Ghany received a number of honors includes Ideal Student, Honor the Minufia University to the first graduates in the anniversary and also honor National Research Centre for obtaining a masters degree, doctoral degree,and the Agriculture & Biological Research Division in science day. Now a days he is supervising one MS.c scholar.
