Biography

Dr. Mohamed Mahgoub Azooz is a Professor of Plant Physiology in Department of Botany, Faculty of Science, South Valley University, Qena, Egypt. He was grew up in El-Maragha city, Sohag Governorate, Upper Egypt. He received his B.Sc. in 1984 and M. Sc. in 1990 from Assiut University, Egypt and Ph.D. in 1997 from South Valley University, Qena, Egypt in collaboration with Tubingen University, Germany. He has been seconded to King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia to act as full time faculty member (from 2005-2015) in Department of Biological Sciences, College of Science. Dr. Azooz has published more than 95 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and 16 book chapters in international books. He has also authored 5 books and edited 6 volumes with international publishers. He has supervised and approved many M.Sc. students and Ph.D. scholars. He is a member of editorial board and reviewer of many international journals. Dr. Azooz has participated in varying capacities as Principal Investigator, Co-investigator, Consultant and Collaborator in more than 25 research projects. He has been awarded scientific publication prizes 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 from both king Faisal University and South Valley University for his scientific articles published in international scientific journals with high impact factors. He has also been honored with the distinct faculty member award in 2013 by King Faisal University. Dr. Azooz has been included in Marquis Whos in the World (Biography, 28th Edition, 2011), and in the “Top 100 Scientists” list, International Biographical Centre, Cambridge-UK, 2011.
