Biography

Dr. Wael M. El-Sayed is currently working as a Professor of Animal Physiology at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He obtained his PhD from Ain Shams University, Egypt and College of Pharmacy, University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. In past he worked as Demonstrator, Assistant lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, Post-Doctoral fellow at the University of Utah, USA, Associate Professor at King Faisal University, AlHasaa, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His research interest focused on several issues; Natural products including plant and animal sources, Drug-drug Interaction and drug metabolism, Evaluation of novel drugs, Chemoprotection and Chemoprevention strategies in cancer, Antioxidants, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. He is a member of different scientific communities, Editor of Asian Council of Science, Webmed Central global advisory board, Saudi Biological Society, Society of Toxicology, Egyptian Syndicate of Scientific Professions, Egyptian Society of Zoology, and Egyptian-German Society of Zoology. He actively participated in a number of conferences. He is a member of the editorial board and reviewer of many national and international journals. He is supervising 15 Ph.D. and 17 MSc students' theses. He has published more than 50 research articles in journals and delivered 31 presentations at international conferences.
